Data hogs rejoice! T-Mobile brings back the unlimited data plan

T-Mobile has pulled off a mobile industry first: it has reinstated the unlimited data plan after a year’s hiatus, showing that there may be a plausible business case after all for unfettered access to the mobile internet. Starting Sept. 5, it will begin offering an unlimited option to its smartphone plans.

 

Google, Verizon Said to Have Deal on Web Traffic

Verizon Communications Inc. and Google Inc. reached a deal on how to handle Internet traffic, striking their own accord on policy being weighed by U.S. officials, two people briefed by the companies said today.

Senh: Why? This Google/Verizon deal sounds like it'll mirror AT&T's tiered pricing plan, which will definitely anger customers. I'm glad I'm still on T-Mobile and hoping that they will not join them in the tiered pricing plan.
