Magic drill Hawks, move one win from East finals

Rashard Lewis scored 22 points and the backups helped Orlando pull away early with Dwight Howard on the bench as the Magic romped to another playoff blowout, moving to the brink of their second straight sweep with a 105-75 victory over the Hawks on Saturday.

Cavs Crush Celtics, Retake Series Lead

LeBron James scored 21 of his 38 points in the first quarter to help the Cleveland Cavaliers beat Boston 124-95 on Friday night, handing the Celtics their worst home playoff loss ever and taking a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinals.

Showing no ill-effects of an elbow problem that was the talk of Cleveland during the long layoff, James finished with eight rebounds and seven assists. The 21 points in a quarter was a franchise postseason record.

Magic beat Hawks 112-98, take 2-0 series lead

Maybe all the Orlando Magic needed after a slow start was a slap in the face. Dwight Howard came back from a bloody nose to finish with 29 points and 17 rebounds, and the Magic beat the Atlanta Hawks 112-98 on Thursday night to take a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinal series.

LeBron James better make sure his new MVP trophy isn't missing. The Boston Celtics stole everything else....

Senh: Sure, it was a team effort from Boston, but the difference maker was Rasheed Wallace, who finally showed a glimpse of his former all-star self. He was hitting 3's and posting up. This win's impressive. Lebron looks like his elbow's bothering him. He was tentative, and not very aggressive until it was too late. Let's see how the Cavs respond in Game 3. The commentators said that the two teams split the season series, each winning on the road, so home court advantage doesn't make a difference in this series. I'm rooting for Boston since I'm a Kevin Garnett fan.

James, Cavs shake off deficit to take Game 1

LeBron James scored 35 points and Mo Williams added 20 as the Cleveland Cavaliers stormed back in the second half to beat the Boston Celtics 101-93 on Saturday night

Senh: What a game. The Celtics had it, but Mo Williams got it going, and completely turned the game around. Shaq was also clutch at the end. KG seems a tad slower because of recent injuries. I thought it was funny how Lebron said his elbow loosened up after two quarters. Like Charles said on TNT, he probably had an injection to numb the pain during halftime. It's only one game, but with home court advantage, maybe this will be Lebron's year, and we'll finally get a Kobe vs. Lebron series.

Hawks beat Bucks 83-69, force Game 7

Jamal Crawford saw the end to his series-long shooting slump coming, making a promise after the pregame shootaround: It'll be back tonight. Crawford then went out and finally played like the NBA's sixth man of the year in the playoffs, scoring 24 points to help the Atlanta Hawks beat the Milwaukee Bucks 83-69 on Friday night to force a seventh game in the first-round series.

LeBron puzzled by numbness in right elbow

LeBron James' puzzling elbow injury will get an extra day of rest before the next round of the NBA playoffs after the Cavaliers decided not to practice Wednesday.

Allen, Celtics show killer instinct in ousting Heat 96-86

The Celtics showed a killer instinct that had been lacking for much of this season by beating Miami 96-86 in Game 5 Tuesday, enabling them to begin preparing for a second-round series with Cleveland.

Cavs hold off Bulls, set up Celtics showdown

Cavs hold off Bulls, set up Celtics showdown

Antawn Jamison scored 25 points, LeBron James just missed a triple-double and the Cleveland Cavaliers advanced to a playoff date with Boston by beating Chicago 96-94 in Game 5 on Tuesday night in perhaps Vinny Del Negro’s final game as Bulls coach.
