PBS will begin doing something it has never done before: interrupting its shows with promotional spots.

The winners of the 2010 Peabody Awards include some of the biggest names in television, though the age-old medium of radio shined this year with eight awards. Winners announced Thursday by the University of Georgia include "The Moth Radio Hour," which celebrates storytelling, and WNYC's series "Radiolab," a scientific exploration show. Others include "Trafficked," a Youth Radio investigation into child sex-trafficking with vivid first-person accounts.

With the Chilean miners rescued, at least two TV networks, Discovery Channel and PBS, are planning documentaries about the dramatic rescue mission at the end of the month.

Legendary film critic and Twitter master Roger Ebert announced that he's reviving his classic half-hour review program "At the Movies" on PBS.

However, service will allow stations that already carry "sectarian" shows to continue doing so.
