Vin Diesel is set to return for a "scaled-back" sequel to Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick, it was reported in the trade press today.

With the exception of Shane Wolfe from The Pacifier, Vin Diesel's most memorable character was Richard Riddick in Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick.

Vin Diesel has shed a little light on what we can expect to see from the next RIDDICK movie. As we know David Twohy is already working on the next installment to the franchise: "We're going to find Riddick alone for the first part of the movie, barely alive, surrounded by carnivorous monsters who are trying to eat him ... So you'll see a futuristic Rambo-esque Riddick trying to survive."
