The Hobbit

The embargo on The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey reviews has been lifted, so a number of publications have published theirs online. And surprise! They're not all raves and a number of the critics have issues with the high frame rate (HFR) version of the movie. As of this writing, An Unexpected Journey is 73% at Rotten Tomatoes. Nolan defends fans angry over 'Knight' reviews

Director Christopher Nolan is defending fans irate over negative reviews of "The Dark Knight Rises." While the final piece of Nolan's "Dark Knight" trilogy has gotten mostly positive reviews, a few critics, including The Associated Press' Christy Lemire, gave it a negative review. Fan response to those critics became so venomous on the review aggregator site RottenTomatoes.com that it suspended user comments late Monday.

Pixar shocker: Critics give 'Cars 2' a big thumbs down

The Wall Street Journal's headline says it all: " 'Cars 2' Is a Dollar-Driven Edsel." OMG! Pixar's amazing critical winning streak is over. And in a big way. Until now, Pixar had released 11 movies, none of which had ever dipped below 70 on the Rotten Tomatoes fresh rating scale, which aggregates reviews from around the country. Ad Revenue Trends for the Four Seasons

Working at Rotten Tomatoes kinda messed up my general view of advertising trends. It’s a bit different from what I’ve experienced so far with Wopular, which is probably more in tune with the average website.

Some people love reading critics' reviews of movies, while other people hate them, but I think we can all unanimously agree that Rotten Tomatoes' aggregation of certified critics' reviews is one of the best movie resources on the web. The site's just listed the top 20 best-reviewed movies of 2010 (with a minimum of 60 reviews required), and the majority of them shouldn't be too surprising.

Premiering at New York Film Festival yesterday and coming to theatres October 1st, the world’s first Hollywood movie about the founding of a social network can now also claim the bragging rights of a solid 100 score on movie review aggregator Metacritic as well as a 9.9 score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Rotten Tomatoes Did Not End "At The Movies"

Rotten Tomatoes Did Not End

It was announced last March that this would be the last season of "At The Movies," the iconic show started by Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel. I read a couple articles on it, and for some reason, some writers blame Rotten Tomatoes.
