A teenager who confessed to strangling, cutting and stabbing a 9-year-old neighbor because she wanted to know how it felt to kill someone was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison with the possibility of parole.

Javarris Jawan Lane was charged with aggravated child abuse after Alexandria Williams was found unresponsive in a bedroom on Sept. 25, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Alexandria was hospitalized in critical condition then died Thursday. Lane was charged with murder Wednesday.
