Kenilworth, Illinois - Wikipedia
Kenilworth is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States, 15 miles (24 km) north of downtown Chicago. As of the 2020 census it had a population of 2,514. It is the newest of the nine suburban North Shore communities bordering Lake Michigan , and is one of those developed as a planned community.
Kenilworth's History - British Heritage Travel
Recent history has been kind to Kenilworth Castle. Sir Walter Scott’s novel of 1821 depicting Queen Elizabeth’s 1575 visit, Kenilworth, popularized the fortress for Victorian visitors and generated the first conservation work on the castle.

Kenilworth ( / ˈkɛnɪlwərθ / KEN-il-wərth) is a market town and civil parish in the Warwick District in Warwickshire, England, 6 miles (10 km) south-west of Coventry and 5 miles (8 km) north of Warwick. The town lies on Finham Brook, a tributary of the River Sowe, which joins the River Avon 2 miles (3 km) north-east of the town.

History of Kenilworth Castle | English Heritage
Kenilworth is one of England’s most spectacular castles. Once standing at the heart of a vast hunting ground and surrounded by a huge man-made lake, it represented a rich prize to the generations of great men who owned and embellished it – among them John of Gaunt, Henry V and Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester.
