Biden decries McCain camp's attacks

Biden rips McCain camp's attacks SCRANTON, Pa. -- The Democratic vice presidential nominee, Sen. Joe Biden, sharing a stage with Bill and Hillary Clinton for the first time this year, said the campaign of Sen. John McCain was stooping to stunts and "ugly inferences" because it was losing and was out of ideas. Rousing a crowd estimated at 6,000 on an otherwise quiet day on the campaign trail, Biden said McCain's campaign had become erratic, a reference to the Republican nominee's changing positions on the financial crisis and his decision two weeks ago to suspend his campaign briefly to deal with it.
