Arrest made in robbery of clerk who later died

CARLSBAD:
A man was arrested last night on suspicion of robbing and assaulting a hotel clerk who died the next day. Brian Lefler, 29, was arrested in Oceanside on suspicion of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, carjacking, auto theft and elder abuse, Carlsbad police Lt. Marc Reno said.
