NORTH LIBERTY — A potential standoff in North Liberty on Thursday afternoon was “peacefully resolved,” city officials said, just over an hour after some businesses were evacuated and residents were warned to remain indoors. According to a city news release at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, North Liberty police officers were called to help locate a man reported to have weapons Thursday afternoon.
