Veteran forward Paul Millsap wasn’t himself in the “Bubble.” He didn’t play up to expectations he’d set for himself, and he wasn’t the bedrock power forward he’d been for the Nuggets since arriving in 2017. On Thursday, Millsap admitted it. He wasn’t happy with his postseason showing, but it was the support he got from teammates that influenced his decision to return to Denver on a one-year, $10 million deal. “Being away from family, being away from fans, feeling a little claustrophobic, all that kind of played effect into the whole bubble scenario,” Millsap said. His postseason averages – eight points per game on 40% from the field and 4.7 rebounds in 24 minutes per game – were the lowest he’d registered since his second season in the NBA (2008).
