Ny In Settlement With Herbal Supplement Maker

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — New York's attorney general has announced an agreement with an herbal supplement maker to implement new quality control measures to confirm the authenticity of its products. The new agreement calls for NBTY to phase in DNA barcoding on herbal ingredients within two years and implement annual testing to detect allergens like peanuts, milk, soy, eggs and wheat in products.
