Obama Arrives In Israel For Shimon Peres Memorial Service

TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — President Barack Obama flew to Israel Friday to pay his respects to Shimon Peres, the former leader whose six decades of work shaping this tiny nation into a powerful and industrious force generated tremendous respect from Obama. Peres served stints as prime minister, president and foreign minister during his lengthy political career. The United States delegation includes former President Bill Clinton, Secretary of State John Kerry and about 20 members of Congress and several administration officials.
