The Columbus police officer who shot and killed 13-year-old Tyre King is back at work, but he will not be allowed on the street anytime soon. Bryan Mason, 31, is performing administrative desk duties at the police training academy while the division continues to investigate King’s death. It’s likely that Mason will not return to his prior assignment as a patrol officer.
