EDINBURG, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say law enforcement officers have shot and killed a distraught man who pointed a shotgun at them during a standoff at an upstate New York home. Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo says deputies and state troopers were called late Monday night for a report of a man threatening to harm himself at a home in the town of Edinburg, in the southern Adirondacks 40 miles northwest of Albany.
