By James JacksonAs Putnam North’s players bounced around the field running plays and working out under their stadium speakers blasting Top-40 music on Monday, their energy was a sign of confidence as the team prepared for its inaugural Class 6A-II season. The Panthers have been three points shy of making the Class 6A-I playoffs the past two seasons but with the roster North is returning, which includes a pair of receivers standing above 6-feet, head coach Ryan Laverty said there’s a lot of upside heading into the 2020 season.“We bring nine back offensively and we bring eight back on defense,” Laverty said.Read more on NewsOK.com
