Omaha Councilman Gernandt Wants City To Oppose Bill That Would End Local Gun Laws

A resolution from Garry Gernandt, a former Omaha police officer, would allow the city’s lobbyist to work against the proposal, which would end local gun regulations, including an Omaha ordinance that prohibits someone younger than 21 from possessing a handgun.
