The Weinstein Company is reportedly ready to green light its Richard Pryor biopic with Oprah Winfrey hopping onboard to play Pryor's grandmother. Pryor's grandmother ran a brothel and raised the iconic comic there. Winfrey joins a cast that includes Mike Epps as Pryor, Eddie Murphy as Pryor’s father, and Kate Hudson as Pryor's widow. Bill Condon and Danny Strong penned the script while Lee Daniels will direct the project which begins production in March.
