After 20 years of research and educational programming, the only bat conservancy and sanctuary in the Midwest will be closing its doors for good. The Organization for Bat Conservation, just nine months after moving to downtown Pontiac from its former home at the Cranbrook Institute of Science, has announced it will be closing down.
