The biggest shopping days of the year came and went in a flurry starting last week with Black Friday and ending early today with the close of Cyber Monday. As the national trends to push sales back earlier and earlier continue, shoppers in Northeast Mississippi seemed to take advantage of those holiday deals. At The Mall at Barnes Crossing in Tupelo, shoppers were an even mix of those who started early Thursday on Thanksgiving Day and those that stayed late into the day Friday to catch all the best bargains. Thousands of shoppers were able to begin shopping as early as 7 a.m.
