Bill Belichick, man of few words, kept his thoughts about Antonio Brown to himself Sunday morning, doing so with one of his well-worn coach-isms and a scorching stare. “I think I’d be remiss if I didn’t ask,” CBS reporter Dana Jacobson asked in the tunnels beneath Gillette Stadium, “what was the final straw with Antonio Brown?” But Belichick was having none of it. It was a legitimate question, asked professionally, in Belichick’s first interaction with the media since the New England Patriots cut the wide receiver Friday afternoon. “Yeah, we’re focused on the Jets today,” he said. It’s no surprise that Belichick didn’t want to discuss Brown.
