Pittston Area scored in each of the first three innings and held off a Mountain Top rally for a 5-4 victory in the District 16 Major Softball championship game Sunday. Ava Serino did not allow a hit, but ran into control problems in the sixth and was replaced by Tori Para, who saved the win.
