Police In 3 Monmouth County Towns Get Body Cameras

FREEHOLD, N.J. (AP) — Police in three Monmouth County towns are the next in New Jersey to wear body cameras. Officers in Howell Township started wearing the devices on Thursday, while officers in Wall and Middletown Township will begin using them next week. Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni says the pilot program will run at least three months. The prosecutor says the departments were chosen because of their location, population and compatibility with their patrol car cameras.
