Police Catch Pennsylvania Rape Suspect In Savannah

Local police and U.S. marshals say they arrested a Pennsylvania rape suspect hiding out in Savannah on Thursday. Lawrence Cook, 31, was found by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and a K-9 officer while trying to hide inside a home in Arrowhead Court, said Sonny Cohrs, Savannah-Chatham police spokesman. Authorities in Pennsylvania had been hunting Cook on charges of armed rape and terroristic threats, Cohrs said. He will be extradited.
