A pregnant woman who told police she'd received a threatening phone call was shot to death early Friday, moments after police left her apartment in pursuit of the man who ultimately killed her. Yumeka Caldwell, 21 years old and nine months pregnant, died inside the troubled Timber Ridge apartment complex in east Charlotte.
