Politico Discovers The True Reason For Ferguson Protests: Twitter

Twitter's fault Politico has discovered that instead of being a model citizen by helping "Missouri officials" to "calm" the populace in Ferguson ... ... social networks like Twitter highlight tensions in the moment rather than calm them, with tweets and photos detailing the scene as things unfold in real time. The problem: Twitter’s quick-share, short-form environment isn’t designed for lengthy debate or nuanced conversations. And as a result: That reality—apparent to anyone who has tried to win an Internet argument—contrasts with the kind of civil understanding that Missouri officials have sought to establish over the last week. So, yeah, if it weren't for Twitter, authorities in Ferguson would totally have things under control, because without Twitter nobody would be outraged about a police officer facing no accountability after shooting an unarmed teenager. Of course, that's not true, but even if it were, why on Earth does Politico think it would be a problem?
