For the first time in three years, Massachusetts shoppers will have an opportunity to buy a new recliner, lawn mower or big-screen TV without paying the 6.25 percent sales tax.On Saturday, Aug. 11 and Sunday, Aug. 12 shoppers may buy - in stores or online - single items that cost $2,500 or less and the purchase will exempt from the Massachusetts sales tax.
