Port Neches-Groves fans and citizens officially honored its 5A state baseball champions Friday. The celebration began with a parade down Port Neches Avenue toward the baseball stadium, where a pep rally ensued. Along the route, fans cheered as the team passed, clamoring for the candy and trinkets that were tossed from the team's float and other participants, including the 2017 Miss Port Neches, and cheer squad members.
