After Hunter Pence stole second, giving the Giants two men in scoring position, Nicasio struck out Brandon Belt with a hard 3-2 breaking pitch. Zito fell behind in the count a lot and put eight runners on base in the first three innings, but the Rockies scored just once until Dexter Fowler started the fifth with a single and Gonzalez hit an RBI double off the base of the right-field wall. Crawford committed his third error of the series later in the inning with yet another ill-advised throw by a Giant, but Zito struck out Josh Rutledge to prevent another mistake-fueled run.

The Memphis Grizzlies, everyone's new favorite team to win the Western Conference finals and get to the NBA Championship and perhaps maybe beat the Miami Heat to a Three 6 Mafia soundtrack, just got lit up by the old-ass Spurs, 105-83. It didn't even feel that close, save for a cute third-quarter run that got the Grizzlies within six but was squashed as quickly as it started.Read more
