The prosecution has rested its case in the Akron Municipal Court trial of former Navy SEAL Christopher Heben.He is charged with misdemeanor offenses of falsification and obstructing official business.Prosecutors say he fabricated a story that he was shot by a black man last spring near the Mustard Seed Market & Cafe in the West Market Street Plaza.Heben, 45, is expected to testify in his own defense within the next hour.For more details, return to Ohio.com and see Thursday’s edition of the Akron Beacon Journal.Ed Meyer can be reached at 330-996-3784 or emeyer@thebeaconjournal.com.
