The Arizona Cardinals have placed outside linebacker Lamarr Woodley on season-ending injured reserve with a chest injury and signed defensive tackle Red Bryant.
Woodley appeared in nine games, six as a starter before being injured in the Cardinals' Nov.
At the time of year most people are counting their blessings, Fort Hays State University senior Paige Lunsford is living one of hers each time she takes the court at Gross Memorial Coliseum.
The Hays native considers the chance to play basketball for the Tigers to be just that.
“It really is such a blessing,” Lunsford said.
“Just the way that this community supports this college and women’s basketball, it’s just really special because I think that’s unique.
With Matt Bryant slowed by a right quadriceps injury, the Atlanta Falcons have signed kicker Shayne Graham.
To make room, the Falcons waived former starting linebacker Joplo Bartu on Thursday.
Bryant was limited in practice.
