A pre-Civil War home in Lee County, Virginia, will be presented for inclusion in the National Registry in coming months. First, however, the public is invited to attend a dedication ceremony of the Duff Mansion House at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 27. The Duff Mansion House is located in Stickleyville, Virginia, along the Wilderness Trail and the Kane Gap through which Daniel Boone first traveled in 1769. Captain William Powell Duff, Confederate States of America and one of the Immortal 600, and his wife, Eliza Barbara Newland, reared their family in the Duff Mansion House.
