John David Washington’s first big acting job is a decidedly funny one. Not just “funny haha,” but funny in the sense that it’s somewhere on the spectrum between curious and bizarre. That’s fine, because so is the movie “BlacKkKlansman.” Director Spike Lee’s latest is an electric, buzzed-about dramedy set in late-1970s Colorado Springs that’s based on real-life detective Ron Stallworth, who ran a risky, undercover investigation into the Ku Klux Klan despite being a black man.
