Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen has identified a man who drowned Friday evening in an Augusta hotel pool.
The victim, Jonathan Nunley, 31, of Augusta, is believed to have jumped the fence surrounding the Days Inn pool at 3654 Wheeler Rd. to go for a swim.
Officials were alerted about 7:15 p.m.
Texas Department of Public Safety is asking for help in locating a hit-and-run driver of a vehicle that struck and critically injured a teenager Friday evening in South Amarillo.
Between 8:15 and 8:35 p.m., a 16-year-old girl was jogging eastbound on Southeast 58th Avenue between South Washington and Tradewind streets, when an unknown vehicle hit her and fled the scene, DPS said
Authorities said the girl’s father found her and took her to Northwest Texas Hospital where she remains in critical condition.
