A Lufkin woman charged with having an improper relationship between an educator and a student has turned herself in, officials said. Mary Ainsley Thigpen, 29, surrendered to authorities on Wednesday and she was booked into the Angelina County Jail, according to online records. The former Lufkin High School cheerleading coach was released the same day on bond.
