Revenge of the Green Dragons, currently in select theaters and VOD, comes to us from American crime maestro Martin Scorsese and directors Andrew Lau (Internal Affairs trilogy) and Andrew Loo. Documenting the rise and fall of one particular Chinese crime syndicate that operated out of Flushing, Queens in the '80s, the crew of creators have their particular prints all over this one - as it definitely evokes Mean Streets, Internal Affairs, Goodfellas, and Year of the Dragon (though that last film came to us from Oliver Stone and Michael Cimino). It's one thing though to have a film be set in the '80s and it's another for it to actually feel "out of time." Because for all intents and purposes, this is an '80s movie.
