3 stars; Rated PG-13; 154 minutes The greatest danger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is not Thanos and his quest for the Infinity Stones — despite what “Avengers: Infinity War” would have you believe. This intergalactic comic-book villain — voiced and performance-captured by Josh Brolin, and rendered to stunning effect by the film’s digital effects conjurers — is just another noodle in the soup compared to Marvel’s biggest threat. That, of course, is the danger of losing the urgency and loyalty that the Disney-owned company has strategically built over 18 different films.
