Richard Christensen, a noted psychiatrist who served Jacksonville’s homeless, was killed by a hit-and-run driver during a mission trip in Africa, the Sulzbacher Center for the homeless reported. “Jacksonville has lost an icon,” Steven Cuffe, chair of the psychiatry department at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, said in a statement.
