The attorney running the Republican National Committee’s “election integrity” effort has been criminally charged by the state of Arizona for her efforts to help Donald Trump steal the 2020 election. This turn of events highlights the Orwellian meaning of the phrase “election integrity,” as used by Trump and the Republican Party: An effort to win at all costs.

At this time last year, Colorado lawmakers were preparing to gut Gov. Jared Polis’ massive and marquee land-use bill that would have reshaped zoning across the state, spurring a stalemate that preceded the proposal’s death.
Now, after reviving most of that proposal in smaller pieces as part of a new strategy, reform supporters see a finish line in sight.
Colorado lawmakers have passed new legislation in a years-long effort to curb foreclosures by homeowners associations and metropolitan districts that are based on unpaid fines and fees.
The reform bills — including one for metro districts that’s already been signed into law — have aimed to create new regulations for HOAs and metro districts by restricting foreclosure filings of the kind that hit thousands of homeowners in recent years.

PHOENIX — An Arizona grand jury has indicted former President Donald Trump’s chief of staff Mark Meadows, lawyer Rudy Giuliani and 16 others — including two attorneys with Colorado ties — for their roles in an attempt to overturn Trump’s loss to Joe Biden in the 2020 election.
The indictment released Wednesday names 11 Republicans who submitted a document to Congress falsely declaring that Trump won Arizona in 2020.
