MONROE - The state Department of Transportation plans to reopen Route 208 in the Village of Monroe on Friday, restoring a busy access point that was closed for five months while workers replaced a bridge over the Heritage Trail.That short stretch of Route 208 between North Main Street and Route 17M is a well-traveled connection between downtown Monroe and Route 17, Kiryas Joel and Blooming Grove.
