Coming off a 27-20 overtime victory at Wyoming, the Spartans play their final scheduled nonconference game of the season. Last season against San Jose State, he tied an NCAA record by scoring seven touchdowns while gaining 240 yards on 36 carries. There figures to be a poignant moment or two as the Spartans and Middies will wear “DQ” decals to pay tribute to former San Jose State offensive lineman David Quessenberry, who is dealing with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Quessenberry, who’s with the Houston Texans, has a younger brother, Paul, who starts at defensive end for Navy. Another Quessenberry brother, Scott, is a starting offensive lineman for UCLA, which plays at Colorado on Saturday.
