Anyone who's lived in Seattle since before the Trump presidency began knows the drill. After a wonderful six weeks or so of summer and an abbreviated fall, winter stakes its claim to the city for what seems like half a year. Short, gloomy days -- often punctuated by the city's trademark drizzle -- sometimes give way to a beautiful, debilitating blanket of snow, but for the most part, the city stays dark and wet.
