Raul Rojas, a math professor at the University of Nevada, Reno, just completed the longest-ever drive in Mexico for a driverless car. The self-driving car, dubbed Autonomos, traveled 1,500 miles, starting from the U.S. border at Nogales, Arizona and making its way down to Mexico City. The 2010 Volkswagen Passat Variant has specialized equipment and a GPS system that allows it to follow a pre-set route.
