Sensory Garden Opens For Heinzerling Residents

A Columbus agency that works with children and adults with developmental disabilities unveiled an unusual garden today — one with brightly colored playground equipment, sprinklers, cobblestone paths, musical instruments and wheelchair swings. The $400,000 “sensory garden” is meant to do just that: engage the senses of the 208 full-time residents of the Heinzerling Foundation.
