I can’t tell you if Donald Trump will ultimately be found guilty in a his “hush money” criminal trial.
But politically it’s a disaster for him so far.

“Democrats are increasingly open to the idea of voting to protect Speaker Mike Johnson against an ouster attempt, putting him in a stronger than expected position even with a razor-thin majority,” Politico reports.
“More than two dozen Democrats told Politico they expect a swath of the party to step in and save the Republican speaker following his decision to buck conservative members of his party and support military aid to Ukraine.”

“It moves to the House of Representatives. It could get final passage as early as next week.”

A new Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll found Joe Biden is ahead in just one of the seven states most likely to determine the outcome of his matchup with Donald Trump, leading Michigan by 2 percentage points.
Biden trails the presumptive GOP nominee slightly in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, and his deficit in Georgia, Arizona, Nevada and North Carolina is larger.
