Shelby County Sheriff Wants More State Action To Quell Heroin Crisis

Ohio is figuring out how to count heroin overdose deaths faster, but the state doesn’t yet know how to prevent them. That’s the opinion of Shelby County Sheriff John R. Lenhart, a Republican who, at 69, is Ohio’s oldest sheriff. When he started out, Lenhart was a Democrat and the state’s youngest sheriff, at 25.
