CORINTH – The Alcorn County Sheriff’s Office was presented with a trophy from Mississippi Blood Services on Friday for winning last week’s Battle of the Badges blood drive in Corinth. While his office had the most donations, Sheriff Ben Caldwell noted that the most important thing was that many people stepped up to give blood. The blood drive allowed people to donate blood on behalf of the police department, sheriff’s office and fire department. In all, there were 116 people who attempted to donate, and 126 units of blood were collected.
