The International Association of Firefighters (IAFF), Local 5257, has reached a collective bargaining agreement with Bath Iron Works that improves wages and benefits over the next four and half years, according to Bath Iron Works. Members of IAFF are firefighters for BIW who provide emergency services to the shipyard. This is the first contract the BIW firefighters have made since the creation of a local bargaining unit, the shipyard said.
