Site Of Kindergartner's Death Had Problems With Furnace, Electrical, Floor

KnoxThe mobile home that 5-year-old homicide victim Kenneth White lived in has been shuttered temporarily by the town building department after several violations were found, Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple said Sunday.Apple had alluded to unsafe conditions in the home at 994 Thacher Park Road before, but he provided more details Sunday about the residence in which police allege Kenneth was choked and bludgeoned to death Thursday before his body was dumped in a snowy culvert across the road.The sheriff said a wood-burning stove in the home wasn't ventilated properly, was covered in duct tape and was near combustible substances.
