Sprouts Farmers Market Inc. (NASDAQ: SFM) has dropped the partnership it had with Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN), making Instacart the grocery’s go-to provider for home delivery. During the company’s earnings call on Thursday morning, Sprouts CEO Amin Maredia announced that the Phoenix-based company had discontinued its contract with Amazon. Sprouts and Amazon formed a deal 18 months ago, before Amazon purchased rival specialty grocery Whole Foods Market for $13.7 billion last summer.
